So, some nannies that nanny for my neighbor's ex-neighbors (is that confusing enough?) came up with the great idea to take a group of kids to the fire-station. They set up the trip and my neighbor asked us to come along. We had a GREAT time, and my kiddos were SO excited!!! Here's the pics to prove it!
Ok, so the fire-fighters said that if mommy put on the outfit maybe the kids wouldn't be scared...so here I am, the willing volunteer...the kids WERE still scared by the way...it was the ONLY time Kate cried the whole visit! :(

Then he put the pieces on one by one, saying "It's still me" as he did each one...SO great!

Most of the kids on the truck...I think there are 2 missing who were scared....notice all the kids looking off to their right---they're looking at the fireman who had come out all dressed up in his gear. Hence the 2 scared children (this was before the slow piece by piece attempt).
When we came home, we had our neighbors over and made fire-trucks from construction paper and ate lunch. A fun day was had by all!!!
